Tennessee Pesticide License Recertification Requirements

Tennessee commercial pesticide applicators must earn a specific number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs or "points") during a three-year cycle (July 1, 2023–June 30, 2026) to renew, with requirements varying by category. C03 – Ornamental & Turf: 18 Points

C06 – Right-of-Way: 18 Points
C07 – Industrial, Institutional, Structural, & Health-Related: 30 Points (Note: 21 points required for 2023-2026 cycle, with 14 external)
C08 – Public Health: 18 Points
C10 – Demonstration, Research, & Regulatory: 18 Points
C11 – Wood Preservatives: 9 Points
C12 – Pesticide Dealer: 18 Points
C13 – Antifouling Marine Paint: 9 Points
C14 – Microbial Pest Control: 9-12 Points (9 per, 12 per)
C16 – Sewer Line Treatment: 9 Points

Cycle End Date: June 30, 2026.
Pro-rated Credits: If you pass the exam after the cycle starts, you may only need 2/3 (if after 7/1/24) or 1/3 (if after 7/1/25) of the total required points.
Category 7 Special Note: While generally 30 points, for the 2023-2026 cycle, Category 7 requires only 21 points, with at least 14 points being external credit
